High-Five Fridays -- So Simple, A Squirrel Can Do It!

1) Make The Logo Bigger gave us props, so right back atcha!

2) A high-five -- and a Get Out! shove -- to Miss Janey for her "Neverland Ranch" comment on the Bedtime with Blackout and Jocko illustration post. (You can pick your award up here.)

3) A high-five for Dynasty of Lao for having the good taste to notice us -- and point it out to others.

4) The Dean gets one high-five for two posts on Les Paul: Music Collectors: Sheet Music to 50k Les Paul Guitars and Musical Collections: The Les Paul Experience. (The second includes info on & a preview of the official Les Paul museum exhibit.)

5) Lastly, a high-five to Neatorama for listening to Rian (again) and posting about KKC.

Want to give high-fives too? Participation is a lot like Thursday Thirteen, only your post is links to who and what you like. (Plus, it's only 5 instead of 13!)

Find out how to give your High-Five Fridays here!

The purpose of this meme is to give high-fives to 5 people, posts, blogs and/or websites you've admired during the week. I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 5 high-fives on Friday. Trackbacks, pings, linky widgets, comment links accepted!

Visiting fellow High-Fivers is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your High-Fives in others comments (please note if NWS).

Get Out Awards, 2/5/08

Here are the first awardees of the Get Out! Kitschy Kitschy Coo Award:

Susan Helene Gottfried for the appropriate use of, "Yum Yum" as a comment.

Cajunvegan for writing: "You must keep these 'retrolicious' posts going. You are here for my entertainment." It made me feel dirty. In that good kinda way. *wink*

That Grrl for saying, "My brother threw away most of my books. Then he goes on and on about how much money I spend, mainly about the money I spend on books. Well, never seems to occur to him that it costs a lot of money to buy the same book three times just so I can read and continue to use it." A-duh.

FeeFiFoto for stating that she'd seen a show on how to make clothing out of felted dryer lint. Technically, she ought to have to prove such a thing (the theory is discussed here, which makes it seem less than likely), but as she made me curious enough to Google, she's earned it.

DinoCollector for a math-y response.

Matthew James Didier for making certain that, "What? Like the back seat of a Volkswagen?" would be stuck in all our heads.

Did you earn the award? Then grab a button for your site. If not, keep playing!

About The Get Out! Kitschy Kitschy Coo Award

The Get Out! Kitschy Kitschy Coo Award is given by Pop Tart and reflects Pop Tart's enjoyment of mocking, amusing, and amazing comments made at any of her blogs, including her blog posts at CQ.

The award gives more than a nod to Elaine Benes, only Pop Tart's incredulity isn't mocking; she's really amazed &/or amused. Pop Tart reserves the right to remove the mocking element in the "Get out!" because the person commenting has already provided that. Plus, she's not shoving you.

Or perhaps it's that your comments are Elaine-esque, giving a full frontal shove to Pop Tart. But we'll leave that debate to the philosophers in the crowd.

Should you be clever enough to be given the "Get Out!" Award, feel free to display the award with a link back to Kitschy Kitschy Coo (either to the post where Pop Tart awards it to you, or the blog's main URL, Kitschy-Kitschy-Coo.Com).

Oh, and feel free to celebrate with a dance.
