I refuse to believe these have any practical use. The only explanation is that this Etsy shop is where turtle superheroes get all their outfits. Supervillains, maybe, but I’ve never heard of a turtle supervillain before. Turtles can’t be evil, can they?

I’m completely fascinated by the turtle skull fossils at Antiques On Broadway. I want one above a doorway, like a gargoyle face looking down from above — like the alien faces abductees are always drawing. Plus, they are on sale. …Oh, honey, for just $65 we can have one in the new (old) house!
I was slow to post today’s vintage valentine, sorry about that. But I’m still not sure what the “slowpoke” pun on this vintage valentine means. Well, I get the play on a tortoise being slow, but what’s the holiday sentiment? Is it just that the card sender is to eager to wait? Seems less than thrilling… But then maybe I’m just hoping for a Valentine’s Day poke. *wink*
