Two words sum up busmun's largest collection: avid reader. He reads approximately 75 books a year. Storage and display at his house consist of custom made wooden bookcases-- floor to ceiling in two rooms and smaller units in every other room except the bathrooms. He is very happy that his father taught him carpentry and so the collection can be housed frugally. (more money for books) Busmun is married to a major enabler, who manages a local independent bookstore. For the past ten years he's wallowed in the delight of reading his favorite authors before their books are published, in the form of what's known in the book trade as Advanced Reader Copies. Every once in a while busmun comes across a novel that impresses him so, he wants to press copies of it onto strangers in the street, but he holds back, fearing that that approach is a bit TOO ardent. And so he offers up the first sentence in the hope that it will induce folks to go to the library and read the rest of the sentences:
"If I could tell you only one thing about my life it would be this: when I was seven years old the mailman ran over my head." More content By This Author: |
